This Air Fryer Protein Chocolate Lava Cake combines indulgence with health-conscious ingredients. Whether you’re looking for a post-workout snack or a guilt-free dessert, this recipe is sure to hit the spot.

Air Fryer Protein Chocolate Lava Cake Ingredients & Accessories

Gluten-Free Baking Flour: Provides structure with minimal carbs.

Chocolate Protein Powder: Adds 20-25g of protein, depending on the brand. If you’re looking for a vegan chocolate protein powder, I recommend Risebar (STEPHANIEN20 is my discount code) and if you’re looking for a grass-fed chocolate protein powder, I recommend PeachieSpoon (HEALTHYHOLME12 is my discount code).

Unsweetened Cocoa Powder: Rich in antioxidants and chocolate flavor.

Baking Powder: Ensures a fluffy cake texture.

Unsweetened Almond Milk: A low-calorie dairy alternative.

Egg: A natural binder and source of protein.

Nonfat Greek Yogurt: Creamy, high in protein, and adds moisture.

Maple Syrup: A natural sweetener with a hint of caramel flavor.

Chocolate Chips: Melts into a gooey center for that lava cake experience.

Tips for a Perfect Air Fryer Protein Chocolate Lava Cake

  • Don’t Overmix: Overmixing can result in a dense cake. Stir until just combined.
  • Use Room-Temperature Ingredients: Ensures a smooth batter and better rise.
  • Watch Cook Time: Check at 13 minutes to avoid overcooking. The center should remain gooey.
  • Customize the Center: Add a dollop of nut butter or caramel instead of chocolate chips for a unique twist.
  • Use a 1 Cup Ramekin: This is the $3 one I got from Target.
