FAQs
Can I use cottage cheese instead of farmer cheese?
Yes! Cottage cheese works well, though the mousse may be slightly less creamy. Blend thoroughly for the smoothest texture.
What does blue spirulina taste like?
Blue spirulina has a very mild flavor and mainly adds vibrant natural color.
How should they be stored?
Store the mousse jars covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. The colors may naturally deepen slightly as they chill.
Can I make these ahead of time?
Absolutely. These jars are great for prepping the day before a party or BBQ.
What Is Farmer Cheese?
Farmer cheese is a soft, creamy cheese similar to cottage cheese, but smoother and milder in flavor. It’s packed with protein and blends beautifully into desserts, dips, cheesecakes, and mousse recipes.
When combined with kefir, it creates a rich, silky texture while adding probiotics and tangy flavor. If you love cottage cheese recipes but want something ultra creamy, farmer cheese is an amazing alternative.
