Ghost Hot Dogs
These easy Ghost Hot Dogs are the cutest Halloween food! Made with hot dogs and biscuit dough, they're simple, spooky, and ready in minutes.
Servings: 8 mini hot dogs
Ingredients
- 4 hot dogs
- 1 package refrigerated crescent roll dough biscuit dough works too
- Optional: ketchup or mustard for dipping
- Straw s for making faces
Instructions
Cut the hot dogs
- Cut each hot dog in half, giving you 8 pieces.
Prepare the dough
- Roll out the crescent roll dough and cut it into 8 rectangles. You want each piece of dough to be large enough to drape over one piece of hot dog.
Make the ghosts
- Place one rectangle of dough over each piece of hot dog. Gently shape the dough around the hot dog so that it resembles a little ghost. Don't worry about making them perfect—the more imperfect, the more character they have!
Add the faces
- Use a straw to gently poke two eyes and one larger opening for the mouth in each ghost. Pressing onto the dough, twist the straw against the hot dog until it completely cuts through the dough. I love using a straw because it makes perfectly round little ghost faces without needing any special tools.
Bake
- Place the ghosts standing up on a baking sheet and bake according to the dough package instructions, or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
- Let them cool slightly before serving.
