Butterfinger Apple Pops (Gluten-Free, Refined Sugar Free)

2 Mins read

Looking for a fun, healthier treat that tastes just like a Butterfinger bar? Make these Butterfinger Apple Pops with crisp apple slices, creamy peanut butter, crunchy corn flakes, and rich dark chocolate. Sweeten them naturally with maple syrup for a no-bake snack that’s free of refined sugar.

Butterfinger Apple Pops Ingredients

Apples: High in fiber, vitamin C, and antioxidants, apples make a nutritious base for these treats.

Dark Chocolate: Rich in antioxidants and minerals, it provides a decadent coating with less sugar than milk chocolate.

Maple Syrup: Adds natural sweetness and trace minerals.

Peanut Butter: Use drippy natural peanut butter for that classic Butterfinger flavor.

Cornflake Cereal: Adds the nostalgic crunch of a classic candy bar without the junk.

Tips For Making Perfect Butterfinger Apple Pops

Use crisp, firm apples like Honeycrisp or Fuji for best results.

Cut apple slices thick enough so that they don’t break when inserting the stick.

Secure the Sticks: Insert popsicle sticks firmly into the apple slices to prevent them from slipping during decorating.

Crush the corn flakes slightly so they mix more easily into the peanut butter.

Chill Before Serving: Allow the pops to set in the fridge for at least 10 minutes to set.

Servings: 6 pops

Ingredients

  • 1 large apple
  • 1 cup organic corn flakes
  • 1/3 cup drippy peanut butter
  • 2 1/2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 3/4 cup dark chocolate melted

Instructions

Make the "Butterfinger" Topping

  • In a small bowl, mix the peanut butter and maple syrup until smooth. (Tip: If your maple syrup was refrigerated, gently warm the mixture to help it blend.) Stir in crushed corn flakes until fully coated.

Prepare the Apple Slices

  • Slice 2–3 thick pieces from each side of the apple, avoiding the core. Each slice should be about ½ inch thick to hold the popsicle stick. Cut a small slit at the bottom of each slice and insert a popsicle stick.

Assemble the Pops

  • Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the peanut butter corn flake mixture on top of each apple slice and gently press it down to cover the surface.

Dip in Chocolate

  • Carefully dip each apple pop into the melted dark chocolate, using a spoon to help coat the sides and around the stick. Place each pop on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Chill & Enjoy!

  • Refrigerate for 15–20 minutes or until the chocolate is set. Serve chilled or let sit at room temperature for a few minutes before enjoying.
