FAQ for Sea Push Pops
Can I use another sweetener besides stevia?
Yes! Try monk fruit drops, erythritol, or even a bit of honey or maple syrup (note: this may slightly alter the color).
What if I don’t have push pop molds?
No problem! Small plastic cups, glass jars, or popsicle molds work great too.
How do I lighten the blue color?
Add 1–2 tbsp full-fat coconut milk for a pastel ocean color. This also adds creaminess.
Are they freezer-friendly?
These are best kept in the refrigerator. Freezing may cause the gelatin texture to become icy or rubbery.
Can I make this dairy-free?
Absolutely. Just skip the whipped cream topping or use a coconut-based version.

Tips To Ensure Your Push Pops Come Out Perfectly
Use a funnel or small pitcher to pour the liquid jello into the molds cleanly and avoid spills.
Don’t skip the circular layer of jello so that the liquid jello doesn’t seep through the bottom of the push pop.
Stand the push pops upright in a cup, small box, or baking dish filled with rice or dry beans while chilling to keep them stable.
Leave space at the top for whipped cream or toppings—about ½ inch is perfect!

- 4 –6 droppers liquid stevia to taste
- ⅛ –¼ tsp blue spirulina
- 1 –2 tsp lemon juice optional
- 4 graham crackers crushed
- 8 candy fish
- Optional: whipped cream round blue or white sprinkles
Instructions
Bloom the Gelatin
- Sprinkle gelatin over ¾ cup cold water and let sit for 5 minutes to bloom.
Dissolve the Gelatin
- Heat 2¼ cups hot water (not boiling). Pour over bloomed gelatin and whisk until fully dissolved.
Add Color + Sweetener
- Mix in liquid stevia and blue spirulina, starting small and adjusting to reach your desired hue. Stir in lemon juice if using.
Chill Base Layer
- Pour the mixture into a shallow dish and refrigerate for 2 hours until set.
Assemble the Push Pops
- Add a spoonful of crushed graham crackers to the bottom of each push pop container.
- Use the top of a push pop to cut 8 circles in the jello. Place one jello circle on the top of the graham cracker crumbs in each push pop.
- Add pieces of the remaining jello on top of the circular layers.
- Press a candy fish into the side of the container for the underwater look.
Fill & Set
- Reheat the leftover jello gently, pour it over the layers, and refrigerate for 3 more hours until completely set.
Decorate
- Top with whipped cream for ocean “foam,” sprinkles for bubbles, or coconut for “seaweed” if desired.
