Spirulina (Green Dye) – A nutrient-dense superfood packed with iron, B vitamins, and chlorophyll—an awesome natural alternative to synthetic food coloring.
White Sprinkle (Golf Ball) – Just one tiny decorative sprinkle per cup to complete the golf look while keeping added sugar minimal.
Plastic Cups – These are inexpensive ones I found on Amazon. They have lids too so that you can bring the cups to a party and add the decorations when you get there.
Flag Toothpicks – I wanted a variety of colors so that I could use these flags for other recipes in the future, so these were the flags I used. If you want them totally golf themed, here are ones you could use.

Tips For Making Perfect Golf Jello Cups
Set in Clear Cups: Small clear plastic cups or shot glasses work best to showcase the color and details.
Use Fresh Lime Juice: Bottled juice can be bitter; fresh gives a bright and clean flavor.
Dissolve Gelatin Properly: Bloom your gelatin in cold water before heating to prevent clumps.
Customize Flags: Use patterned paper or write names on each toothpick flag for party personalization.
Chill Fully: Allow at least 4 hours for the jello to fully set before decorating.

Golf Jello Cups
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup grass-fed gelatin
- 1 tsp natural green dye I used spirulina powder
- 1/2 cup raw honey
- Juice from 3 large limes
- 3 cups water
- 15 white ball sprinkles
- 15 mini flag toothpicks
- 15 small plastic cups
Instructions
Bloom the Gelatin
- In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over 1 cup of cold water. Let it sit for about 5 minutes to bloom. The mixture will thicken to a soft, applesauce-like consistency.
Make the Jello Base
- In a small saucepan, heat 2 cups of water until just below boiling. Turn off the heat and whisk in the honey, lime juice, and the bloomed gelatin until fully dissolved. Add green spirulina powder (starting with ½ teaspoon) and stir well, adding more as needed until you reach your desired green hue.
Pour and Set
- Arrange your plastic cups on a baking sheet for easy transport. Carefully pour the jello mixture into each cup, filling them about three-quarters full. Transfer the tray to the refrigerator and chill for at least 4 hours, or until completely set.
Decorate and Serve
- Just before serving, insert a paper flag toothpick into each cup and place a white sprinkle on top to resemble a golf ball. Serve chilled and enjoy!
