2 Ingredient Brain Jello (no added sugar or dyes)

2 Mins read

Looking for a fun, spooky treat that’s also packed with protein and free of refined sugars and artificial dyes? This Brain Jello, made with organic cranberry juice and grass-fed gelatin, is the perfect Halloween snack that’s as tasty as it is nutritious.

Brain Jello Ingredients and Supplies

Organic Cranberry Juice: Rich in antioxidants and vitamin C to support immunity, this juice gives your jello a tangy flavor and a naturally vibrant color.

Grass-Fed Gelatin: A fantastic source of protein, gelatin supports skin, hair, nails, and joint health.

Brain Mold: This is the mold I purchased on Amazon. It is actually the second one I purchased, because the first was cracked and not as good quality. I definitely recommend this one, since there have been no issues.

Step by Step Instructions

Bloom the Gelatin: Add 1/4 cup gelatin to 1 cup room temperature juice. Let sit for several minutes to let the gelatin “bloom” AKA thicken up to resemble applesauce.

Prepare the Juice: Heat 5 cups of organic cranberry juice on the stove until boiling, then remove from heat.

Add the Gelatin: Gradually whisk in the juice with gelatin until fully dissolved. Ensure no clumps remain.

Pour and Set: Pour the mixture into a brain-shaped silicone mold. Refrigerate for at least 6 hours or until firm.

Serve: Carefully remove the jello from the mold and serve for a spooky, protein-packed treat!

Tips for Perfect Brain Jello

Fill the bowl with hot water: If you fill the bowl with hot water and then place the jello mold inside for a couple minutes, it removes easily.

Experiment with flavors: Add a dash of lime juice for a citrus twist!
