This Healthier Bunny Butt Dessert Ball is such a fun Easter dessert! There are no refined sugars or artificial ingredients here!
Natural Sprinkles: Sprinkles are optional, but they add to the fun! I love how the ifiProvisions sprinkles are dyed naturally, so that is what I typically use. I have a 15% off discount (HEALTHYHOLME) if you want to try!
Unsweetened Coconut: I use unsweetened shredded coconut so there is no added sugar in the coconut.
Mini Dark Chocolate Chips: Again, this is optional, but my kids love the surprise of the mini chips inside. I use dark chocolate to lower the sugar content.
Pink Candies: For this recipe, I use these candies because there are no artificial dyes.
Cream Cheese: Any brand of cream cheese works here. If you are dairy-free, you could use a vegan cream cheese.
Grass-fed Butter: I always use grass-fed butter because it is more nutritious than regular butter. It is a good source of vitamin A , vitamin K2, and the antioxidant beta carotene. It also has a higher proportion of healthy, unsaturated fats and CLA than regular butter.
Dippers: Feel free to dip whatever you want in the Bunny Butt! I typically use fruit or these organic cookies
I store the Bunny Butt in the refrigerator until I’m ready to serve. Then I let it sit out for about 10 minutes to soften before digging in!
It’s sticking to my hands, any tips?
Yes, it gets a little messy! If you wet your hands that helps. If you don’t want to get your hands dirty, you could add it to plastic wrap and mold it that way.
The feet and tail aren’t sticking, what can I do?
If they’re falling off, you can secure them with toothpicks. You can also add a little cream cheese between the balls to “glue” them together.
