These Sweet Potato Crust Heart Pizzas have been our family tradition on Valentine’s Day for the the past 4 years
❤. Hubby and I don’t really celebrate Valentine’s Day, but I really love making special valentine meals for the kiddos!
This pizza crust is our favorite because it’s veggie-filled, full of flavor with only 5 ingredients, and is SO much easier
to make than cauliflower crust!
Sweet Potato Crust Heart Pizza
Ingredients:
❤ 3 cups cooked sweet potato flesh, mashed
❤ 1 1/2 cups almond flour
❤ 2 eggs
❤ 2 tbsp olive oil
❤ 1/2 tsp sea salt
❤ toppings: sauce, cheese, veggies, meat, etc
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F and line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats.
- Mix together the mashed sweet potato flesh, almond flour, eggs, olive oil, and 1/2 tsp sea salt.
- Make 2 hearts on each prepared baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes.
- Let the pizzas cool, then carefully flip them. Brush the tops with olive oil, and bake another 10 minutes.
- Top the crusts with desired toppings* and bake another 7 minutes, until the cheese begins to melt.
