Course: Dessert
Keyword: no bake, St. Patrick's Day
Servings: 4 apple pops

Ingredients

  • 1 large apple
  • 1 cup white chocolate melted
  • natural green dye optional
  • natural green sprinkles optional

Instructions

  • Cut the apple into 2 slices, about 1/2 inch thick, to the left and right of the core. You should have 4 apple slices to make into pops.
  • For the larger slices (the ones closer to the core), use a small shamrock cutter to cut out a shamrock in the middle of the apple slice. This is also helpful if there are seeds. For the smaller slices, cut them into a shamrock using the cookie cutter.
  • Use a knife to make a small slit in the bottom of each apple slice. Insert a popsicle stick into the slit, being careful not to push through the cutout.
  • Dip the apple pops into the melted chocolate. I find it easiest to melt the chocolate in a mug about the width of the apple. I use a spoon to help get the chocolate all over the apple.
  • Lay the apple pop on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and add toppings, if desired.

Notes

These can be stored in an airtight container up to 1 week in the fridge and up to 1 month in the freezer.
