Servings: 6 hats
- 1 sheet puff pastry thawed in fridge overnight
- 4 tbsp spread (I used homemade chocolate spread, date caramel, and peanut butter)
- 6 tbsp chopped fruit (I used strawberries, sautéed apples, and bananas)
- monk fruit powdered sugar optional
Preheat the oven to 425F. Line a baking sheet with a silicone mat or parchment paper.
Gently roll out the dough (I add a sprinkle of flour to the dough and my rolling pin). Use a pizza cutter to cut 3 rectangles. Then cut across each rectangle diagonally.
About an inch from the bottom of the triangle, add spread. Add fruit on top. (My combinations were chocolate spread and strawberries, date caramel and sautéed apples, and peanut butter and bananas).
Roll the triangle up to make a hat shape. Bake for 10 minutes, then reduce to 375 and bake another 10 minutes, or until the pastry begins to turn a golden brown.
Dust with powdered sugar, if desired, and enjoy warm!
