Servings: 6 apple roses
- 1 large red apple check above for recommendations
- 1 sheet puff pastry
- 3 tbsp strawberry jam
- optional: monkfruit powdered sugar
Step 1: Prep the Apples
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Slice the apple in half through the core.
Remove seeds with a melon baller or corer.
Thinly slice the apple into half-moons.
Microwave for 1 minute to soften (this helps them roll easily).
Step 2: Roll the Puff Pastry
Step 3: Build the Roses 🌹
Place softened apple slices along the top edge of each strip, slightly overlapping.
Fold the pastry bottom up over the apple slices.
Starting at one end, roll tightly to form a rose.
Place each rose into a silicone muffin pan (helps keep the shape).
Step 4: Bake & Enjoy
Bake on the middle rack for 40 minutes, or until golden and crisp.
Let cool slightly, then dust with monkfruit powdered sugar if desired.
Serve warm and enjoy!
