Ingredients

  • 6 cups popped popcorn (plain, unsalted)
  • 1/2 cup raw honey
  • For the pumpkin: pretzel sticks cut in half, natural orange dye, melted dark chocolate
  • For the ghost: melted white and dark chocolate

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, heat the honey over medium heat until it becomes bubbly and slightly thickens (about 2-3 minutes). Be careful not to overcook, as this can cause the honey to harden too much.
  • Place the popped popcorn in a large bowl. Slowly drizzle the hot honey over the popcorn while gently stirring to evenly coat all the kernels. If making pumpkins, add natural orange dye and mix until popcorn is covered.
  • Let the popcorn mixture cool for a minute or two until it’s safe to handle but still warm. Grease your hands with a little oil (like coconut oil) to prevent sticking, and scoop out portions of the honey-coated popcorn. Press and shape them into balls about 2 inches in diameter. If making a pumpkin, insert a pretzel stick for the stem.
  • Place the formed popcorn balls on a parchment-lined tray and let them cool completely. The honey will harden and hold the popcorn together.
  • To make the ghost: Dip in melted white chocolate. Once the chocolate hardens, pipe dark chocolate on top for the eyes and mouth.
To make the pumpkin: Pipe jack o lantern face on with dark chocolate.
  • Place in a sealed container in the fridge until ready to serve. Enjoy!
