- 2 crisp apples fuji, gala, or honeycrisp work well
- 1/2 cup full fat coconut milk
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- favorite toppings chocolate chips, chopped nuts, sprinkles, pretzels, etc
Make the caramel sauce:
In a small saucepan, combine ½ cup maple syrup and ½ cup coconut milk.
Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat, then reduce to a simmer.
Cook for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens into a caramel-like consistency.
Remove from heat and stir in 2 tablespoons cashew butter until smooth and creamy.
Assemble the board:
Drizzle the warm caramel sauce evenly over the sliced apples.
Sprinkle with chocolate chips, chopped nuts, crushed pretzels, or festive sprinkles.
