Ingredients

  • 2 large apples Choose firm crisp apples like Honeycrisp, Fuji, or Granny Smith.
  • ¼ cup nut/seed butter or cream cheese Almond butter, peanut butter, sunflower seed butter, or cream cheese all work.
  • Favorite toppings Cacao nibs, dark chocolate blossom curls, sprinkles, blueberries, peanut butter granola, unsweetened coconut flakes, and more.

Instructions

Slice the Apples

  • Cut off the tops and bottoms of the apples. Slice the middle section into 2–3 thick rounds.

Core the Centers

  • Use an apple corer, melon scoop, or small knife to cut out a hole in the middle of each slice.

Prevent Browning (Optional)

  • If you’re not eating them right away, soak the slices in water with lemon juice for a few minutes. Pat dry.

Add the Spread

  • Spread nut butter or cream cheese over each apple slice. For a fun twist, mix in natural food dye to make colorful spreads.

Top & Serve

  • Add your favorite toppings. Think crunchy, sweet, or fruity for the perfect bite. Enjoy immediately or store in the fridge.
