Strawberry Cheesecake Protein Ice Cream Ingredients
Cottage Cheese – Cottage cheese is an incredible source of complete protein, rich in casein (a slow-digesting protein that keeps you full longer). It also provides calcium, vitamin B12, and phosphorus—essential for bone health and energy metabolism.
Pure Maple Syrup – Maple syrup is a natural sweetener that contains trace minerals like manganese and zinc.
Nut butter: Adds richness and a satisfying nutty flavor.
Collagen: Optional boost for skin, joints, and added protein.
Blue spirulina: Natural pigment with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties.
Vanilla Protein Powder – Adds an extra protein boost and enhances that creamy cheesecake flavor. Choose a clean protein powder with no added sugar or artificial ingredients for the healthiest option. I used Peachie Spoon Vanilla Protein Powder. You can use the code HEALTHYHOLME12 to save $$!

Tips for the best Cookie Monster Protein Ice Cream
- For the Ninja Creami, always follow the 24-hour freeze rule for the best results.
Let sit at room temperature for 4 minutes before spinning in the Creami.
Scrape the sides to remove any icy parts before doing the mix-in.
Don’t skip the spirulina if you want that fun blue color — it’s naturally derived and packed with antioxidants.
Use soft-baked or chewy cookies for easier mixing and a melt-in-your-mouth texture.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer and let it thaw slightly before serving.

FAQs
Q: Can I use Greek yogurt instead of cottage cheese?
You can, but the texture may not be as creamy, especially when frozen. Cottage cheese is key for that thick, ice cream-like consistency. It also will have a more tangy taste.
Q: What protein powder works best?
A clean, vanilla-flavored whey or plant-based protein with no added sugar or artificial sweeteners works best for both flavor and texture. I used Peachie Spoon Vanilla Protein Powder. You can use the code HEALTHYHOLME12 to save $$!

Cookie Monster Protein Ice Cream
Ingredients
- 2 cups cottage cheese I recommend 1% or 2%, no salt added if possible
- 1 tbsp maple syrup or honey adjust to taste
- 1 tbsp peanut butter or other nut/seed butter
- 1 serving vanilla protein powder
- 1 ½ tsp blue spirulina
- 1 tbsp collagen optional, for texture and joint support
- 1 cup cookies broken into pieces (choose high-protein or clean-ingredient cookies)
Instructions
- Blend together all of the ingredients, except cookies.
- If not using an ice cream maker, stir cookies into mixture and freeze overnight. Let sit on the counter for 10 minutes to thaw and enjoy!
- If using the Ninja creami, pour into the pint, place storage lid on top, and freeze for 24 hours. Replace the lid with the processing lid, attach to the base, and select ice cream. When finished, remove the pint and lid. With a spoon, create a 1 ½-inch wide hold that reaches the bottom of the pint. Add the broken cookies to the hole and process again using the MIX-IN program. Remove and enjoy!
