Hot Chocolate Ice Cream Ingredients & Accessories

Cottage Cheese: High in protein, calcium, and beneficial probiotics for gut health.

Collagen: Enhances creaminess, supports skin, hair, and nails, and offers an extra protein boost.

Chocolate Protein Powder: Adds rich chocolate flavor with protein to help with muscle recovery.

Maple Syrup: Natural sweetness without refined sugar, offering trace minerals like manganese.

Peppermint Extract: Adds refreshing mint flavor with potential benefits for digestion.

Chocolatey Almond Protein Bar: Adds crunch and more protein with healthy fats from almonds.

Ninja Creami: I absolutely love making ice cream in my Creami. It always comes out perfectly smooth and creamy! Here’s a link to a model similar to the one I have.

Tips For Making Perfect Hot Chocolate Ice Cream

Adjust Peppermint to Taste: Peppermint extract is potent, so start small and add more if desired.

Nut Milk for Creaminess: If using a Ninja Creami and it turns out powdery, a small splash of nut milk can make it creamier.

Protein Bars for Crunch: Add the protein bar pieces after blending for a fun, chocolatey crunch.

FAQs

Can I make this without protein powder?
Yes, replace it with cocoa powder for a chocolatey flavor without the extra protein. Adjust the amount of maple syrup until it is your desired sweetness.

How do I make this dairy-free?
You can substitute the cottage cheese with a thick plant-based yogurt and the collagen with a vegan protein powder.

What if I don’t have an ice cream maker?
No problem! Mix everything, stir in the chopped protein bar, freeze overnight, and let it thaw for 10 minutes before scooping.
