These Apple Donuts are a fun treat to make with the kids! All you need are apples, nut/seed butter or cream cheese, and your favorite toppings! These are the perfect snack to make after apple picking! My kids love this fun way to eat apples! I love that they’re getting additional protein to help balance blood sugar levels.

Apple Donuts

These Apple Donuts are a fun treat to make with the kids! All you need are apples, nut/seed butter or cream cheese, and your favorite toppings! These are the perfect snack to make after apple picking!

Ingredients

  • 2 large apples
  • 1/4 cup nut/seed butter or cream cheese

Favorite toppings

  • cacao nibs
  • sprinkles
  • blueberries
  • granola
  • unsweeetened coconut flakes
  • dried fruit

Instructions

  • Slice the tops and bottoms off of the apples. Then slice the remaining part of the apples into 2-3 rounds.
  • Use an apple corer, cutter, knife, or melon scoop to create a circle in the middle of each slice.
  • If not eating the apple donuts immediately, soak in water with lemon juice for several minutes. Pat dry.
  • Spread nut butter and/or cream cheese (I mixed in natural food dye to make the pink), then add your toppings!
  • Enjoy! (Store in the refrigerator)
